Noctium TDM Personal Overflow
Jan. 26th, 2021 08:45 am((OOC: This is just for any new and continuing threads from the TDM for the new game Noctium. Any threads already not on another's overflow post/thread will be redirected or started here. If you wish to tag him with a new thread but don't have a top-level of your own? Feel free to post that here as well!))
1 - Recovery
It has been the weirdest two weeks of Cor's life to date. Found himself suddenly somewhere that was clearly toxic, his left arm crystallizing into some living version of a purple gem (Amethyst, the doctors recently clarified), and stuck in some medical facility afterwards while his body recovers from the toxic environment...
But at least the food's decent, and the care is actually good, with a sensible amount of information being given out as well. He's still suspicious over the fact that they won't talk about this 'new god', but figuring that they just don't want to spook him and his fellow newcomers. He simply opted to use scrubs when he wasn't undergoing yet another exam, or sleeping, trying to keep a small about of decency during his stay here.
Cor is just getting a little anxious, all full of pent-up energy now that he seems to be mostly mended. He's testing out something in one of the lobbies, holding his hand out and focusing right on that hand... And in a burst of glowing, magical crystals, Kotetsu appears in his grip, just as it normally would back on Eos. He seems content with that result, and banishes it back to the Armiger with but a thought and another crystalline burst. He then looks over and realizes that someone may have been watching him - someone who may or may not have been surprised by that brief display of his small magical ability. "...sorry; was testing something out."
2 - All-Aboard~!
It was likely a good thing that the order for medical discharge came when it did; Cor never liked being suck on medical leave for any reason, and it was starting to drive him insane from doing some exam for the 300th-Six-damn-time when he really needs to get back into a training regime very soon. And by 'soon', he usually means 'yesterday'. Which is why he's back in his usual outfit, the Crownsguard fatigues, as he boards the shuttle.
The pilot was just warning everyone that there may be some 'slight' turbulence on their way to the capital when Cor spies an open seat among the group, he walks up to it and glances over to the person sitting the next seat over. "Mind if I sit here?" He inquires to that same person, trying to be as polite as he could in the moment.
3 - Wait, I'm rooming with who?
Bureaucracy is always a tedious thing to deal with, even if you're someone like Cor who is far too used to it for his own comfort. Still, he is pleased that the government does seem to be offering practical aid for him and his fellow newcomers - housing support, discount coupons for this world's communication devices, and even a stipend to help them buy essentials like food. Cor presumes that the latter is until they get a job among the native population - until, that is, he's later told about the desire for them to just focus on making Manna....
He was willing to take an apartment with the government funding, and even requested one that was 'not too expensive'. The place he eventually got seems reasonable enough - the people coming and going all seem like middle-class folks based on their clothing designs. And the neighborhood feels peaceful enough to not set off the tiny paranoid voice in the back of his head. However, when he got into the apartment specifically listed on his form, he's surprised to find another person already making themselves at home. "...I think there may have been a mix-up," he started to apologize, not yet realizing that it's a two-bedroom apartment that the government set him up in...
WILDCARD!
